Show Notes Chapter Markers

This is an episode about a very special skill, which may sound soft but has been shown to make us anything but soft or weak. Self-compassion has been shown to help us adopt a growth mindset, reduce feelings of shame, be more motivated, experience greater happiness and life satisfaction, better relationships, greater physical and mental health (including reduced burnout and compassion fatigue) as well as the ability to cope better with stressful life events including failure (academic or otherwise) and trauma. Host and long-term self-compassion practitioner Petra Agthe is diving deep into the topic with our guest the Mindful Self-compassion teacher Ali Lambie.
